Chinese export bowl with Dutch Amsterdams Bont decoration

Description

A good quality Chinese export bowl, originally imported into Europe with underglaze blue decoration in the Kangxi period c 1700 - 1720. The bowl was later decorated in Europe on top of the underglaze blue with famille verte enamels and gilding. The outside of the bowl is decorated with flowers. figures, birds and insects. The interior of the bowl is decorated with a basket of flowers and with drapery around the rim. Diameter 14.8cm (5.8"), height 6.5cm (2.6")

Condition
This bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. The foot rim has a small firing flaw.  As can be seen, the enamels on the outside of the bowl are in very good condition with only rubbing and loss to the gilding. As is often the case, the interior decoration has rubbed from use.
