A copy of the three-volume boxed set of this well-produced publication. First edition, Hong Kong University Press, Hong Kong, 1981. Three large quarto hardback cloth-bound volumes within a cloth-covered box which opens flat.
Volume 1 has 273 pages and gives an introduction to the wares in these two internationally-reknowned collections, including an illustration and discussion of design motifs and design elements. Illustrated throughout with many examples of predominately Yuan and Ming porcelain. Volume II has 282 pages and is profusely illustrated with black and white illustrations of items from the Topkapi Palace Museum, together with a small number of tipped-in colour plates. Volume III has 372 pages and features ceramics from the Ardebil Shrine Collection. Again, this volume is illustrated throughout with black and white and with a good number of tipped-in colour plates.
The blue cloth-covered box has some surface marking and dust staining. The three volumes are in fine condition.
