Introductory essay by David Wheldon. Excellent condition with just a few surface marks to the covers from handling.
The second catalogue is entitled ‘Classicism in Continuum - the Arts of the Ming’. 178 pages with 28 fine Ming period Chinese works of art well-illustrated in colour and with detailed descriptions, including Ming porcelain, a selection of rhinoceros horn carvings and the Emperor Wanli’s throne platform carpet. Excellent condition with just a few surface marks to the covers from handling.
