A small Chinese late Ming dish, Tianqi

A Chinese dish, strongly decorated in underglaze blue of a deep indigo colour, and dating from the late Ming period. The dish has been decorated with flowers and foliage curving around the interior, and with an insect flying amidst them. The back of the dish has simple decorations around the rim, and a shop mark on the base.  The glaze shows a blue tint where it pools around the foot rim. Diameter 13.3cm (5.2”)

Date: Tianqi or Chongzhen (c1621-1640)
 

Condition:

This dish is in very good condition with glaze fritting around the rim, and a single small chip to the rim (see final image).
