A Chinese export plate, decorated in underglaze blue, and dating from the late Kangxi or Yongzheng period. The centre of the plate is decorated with flowers emerging from decorative rockwork, and with further flower sprays around the rim. The reverse of the pate has two simply-painted bamboo sprays. Diameter 22.1cm (8.7”)
Dating: late Kangxi or Yongzheng c1725-35
Very good condition. There is one small and shallow chip from the back of the rim, not visible from the front (see final image), and one other tiny rim frit. No cracks and no restoration.
