A Chinese dish for the Japanese market, decorated in underglaze blue and dating from the late Ming period c1625-1640. The dish has been decorated with a single branching floral spray. The reverse is undecorated apart from an underglaze circle below the rim and another around the foot. There are chatter marks visible to the base. Diameter 15.5cm (6.1”)
Condition. This dish has mushikui glaze fritting to the rim, and a dusting of kiln grit in the glaze of the interior.
