A charming small Chinese earthenware figure of a seated woman, dating from the Tang Dynasty. The woman, with elaborate hair style, is seated and eating from a bowl which she is holding. An interesting, more intimate, figure than the more typical standing court ladies from the Tang Dynasty. Height 9.5cm (3.7")

Condition: there is a small chip from the front of the hair, and minor roughness to the rim of the bowl.
