A small Chinese Kraak dish decorated in underglaze blue with a central scene of flowers and eight shaped panels around the cavetto containing further flowers, peaches, and precious objects. The dish has been decorated with added green and red enamels, probably done in Europe. Diameter of the dish is 13.7 cm.
Date: Late Ming circa 1600 to 1620
Condition: this dish is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. There is a firing fault in the base of the dish within the foot rim which does not extend through the body of the dish.
