A Chinese export famille rose small handled bowl, probably intended either as a bleeding bowl or a porringer, decorated to the outside with peonies and other flowers and with a single peony to the interior. The pierced and shaped handle is deorated with further flowers. Diameter including handle 15 cm, width of the bowl 12 cm.
A rare form in Chinese export Porcelain. The shape is probably copying a metal original (pewter or silver).
Date: Qianlong circa 1740 to 1750
Condition: there is a small filled chip and a further shallow chip underneath the piercing to the handle. There are two firing cracks in the foot. No other damage.
