An attractive Chinese export famille rose plate, dating from the early Qianlong period. The plate is decorated with a central scene of two birds perched in the branches of a flowering tree Peony, The cavetto is decorated with a band of peony flowers in cartouches alternating with pink and gree diaper pattern bands. The rim is decorated with further flowering peony branches. The reverse is undecorated. There is a label for Belgian dealers M. Bascourt on the base. Diameter 22.9cm (9")
Dating: early Qianlong c1735-40
Condition: this plate is in excellent, undamaged, condtion with no chips, cracks or restoration. There is a very small amount of stacking wear to the enamels - please see our photographs.
