A mounted Eighteenth Century Chinese small silk square panel woven with paeonies and ornamental rock work in red, white and two shades of brown silk on a sea green background. Size of mount 31 x 31.5cm (12.2" x 12.4"), size of visible textile 16 x 17 cm (6.3" x 6.7").
An attractive example of Eighteenth Century Chinese silk weaving. The natural sheen of the deep green silk background has made photography of this panel difficult. The background colour is more green than it appears in our photographs.
Good overall condition (please examine our photographs).
