A pair of Chinese blue silk ear muffs with silk embroidery of flowers, dating from the early Twentieth Century c1920. The ear muffs have an orange silk lining, and a dark blue silk backing to form the pocket. Each muff is around 9.5cm (3.7") tall.
These ear muffs would have been worn in cold weather to keep the ears warm. The dark blue silk on the reverse lifts up to form a pocket which can be slipped over the ears.
The ear muffs are in very good condition. There is wear and light staining to the orange silk linings Please examine our photographs.
