A pair of Chinese silk embroidered purses, circa 1920, one side in blue silk, the other yellow, embroidered in satin stitch and depicting flowers and peaches, and having draw string and tassels to the top. These kidney-shaped purses hung off a belt at the waist and were used by both men and women to hold incense.
Each purse 8 ½ cm wide.
