A small framed octagonal Chinese silk embroidery of a phoenix, C19th

A framed and glazed C19th Chinese silk embroidery of octagonal form depicting a phoenix in shades of pink. This embroidery is of fine workmanship, being mainly composed of tiny seed stitches. The embroidery is beautifully presented on a dark blue mount with pink highlights in a gold frame. Glazed.

Size: embroidery 14.5 across (widest points). Frame c 35cm square.

Condition: Some fading and losses to the threads. Please see photographs.

Note: we have not seen the embroidery outside the frame.
