An 18th century Chinese silk brocade, depicting the four clawed Mang dragons, one chasing the flaming pearl, the other having caught it over turbulent waves. The colours are subtle but bright with very little if any fading, the dragons and other pictorial elements in blues, greens, browns, cream and orange on a light green background.
The brocade is mounted on a late C20th/early C21st blue silk fabric over a wooden frame, backed in white cotton.
Brocade 69 by 33cm
Frame 80 ½ x 46 cm.
