An early 20th century Chinese boy's tiger collar, to symbolise protection. Embroidered and appliquéd features and stump work tail. Painted striping and fur effects. Backed in slate coloured cotton (backing fabric is slightly darker and greyer than in the phtograph).
22½ cm diameter.
Condition: silk has some surface marks and a few small holes. Please see photographs.
