A charming small Chinese pot and cover of reeded form dating from the period c1720-30, with later Dutch decoration of figures in a landscape setting, with windmill and other european buildings. Height including cover 7cm (2.8")
Provenance: from the collection of Helen Espir, author of the book 'European Decoration on Oriental Porcelain 1700-1830'. From the Watney collection, and sold at Bonhams New Bond Street on 7th Noveber 2003. Collection labels for both the Espir and Watney collections.
There is a small chip to the rim of the lid which has been filled and coloured (please see images). No other damage.
