A Chinese blanc de Chine beaker or tall cup with applied decoration of prunus branches, from the Dehua kilns in Fujian Province, and dating from the Shunzhi to Kangxi period. The exterior of the cup has been decorated with three sprays of flowering plum branches. Height 7.2cm (2.8”)
A similar cup can be found in Donnelly’s book on Blanc de Chine, plate 31 and also in the 1994 catalogue of the exhibition of blanc de Chine at Marchant’s page 55.
Dating: Shunzhi to Kangxi c1650-1720
Condition: This cup has a small chip to the rim, and a very fine hairline extending 2cm from the rim - please see detail images.
