A good quality and attractive Chinese dish, decorated famille verte enamels of red, green, aubergine, black and blue and with gilding, and dating to the Kangxi period. The rim of the dish has panels containing fish and shrimps filled between with a rich panels of flowers against a dotted background. The reverse of the dish is decorated around the rim with further panels of fish separated by panels of diaper pattern and large flower heads. Beneath this there are 4 floral sprays. The centre of the base has a double underglaze blue circle. Diameter 24.6 cm (9.6")
For a very similar (although larger) example in the Rijksmuseum see the book by Christiaan Jorg 'Famille Verte, Chinese Porcelain in Green Enamels' plate 71.

An attractive example of famille verte decoration. The quality of the decoration can be appreciated in the images.

Dating: Kangxi c 1700 - 1720

Condition:
This dish is in very good condition. The blue enamel on these Kangxi wares was occasional prone to flaking off, and this has happened with this dish. The small areas of blue enamel on the dish have all been retouched. A small glaze hairline at the rim (in the glaze only, and not in the body) has been consolidated and is invisible. There are two small firing flaws on the reverse which have associated short glaze lines (again in the glaze only, not in the body of the dish). There are a few small foot rim chips. As can be seen the enamels are all in very good condition. Please see images.
