An attractive Chinese blanc de Chine libation cup of a good size, made in the Dehua kilns in Fujian Province, and dating from the Kangxi period. The cup is formed as a bowl, which copies the form of a rhonocero horn, supported on a foot formed from branches which end in magnolia flowers on one side and prunus blossoms on the other. Width at widest point 11.8cm (4.6").
Dating: Kangxi (1662-1722)
Condition
There is one small and shallow glaze chip to the foot, visible in the first photograph. No other damage and no restoration. Please see our images.
