An attractive Chinese silk purse dating from around 1900. The front of the purse is colourfully embroidered all over with flowers and leaves.
There are one or two stitches missing in the main pattern and some loose threads in the infill between the main pattern area and the border.
The blue silk back is damaged and the purse has been mounted for display, ready for framing.
At its widest the purse is 145 mm wide and115 mm high (just under 6x 4.5 inches). The mount is 325 x 280mm (12.75 x11 inches).
