Chinese famille rose teabowl & saucer

Code: 230406

A Chinese teabowl and saucer, finely potted and translucent, decorated in famille rose enamels, and dating from the Yongzheng period.  Both the tea bowl and the saucer are decorated with a scene of two elegant women next to a rockwork table on which is sitting a hare or rabbit, and surrounded by flowering plants.  The standing woman is holding an object in her hand which might be a peach.  (Both the hare and the peach are symbols of longevity.)  Saucer diameter 10.5cm (4.1")

Dating: Yongzheng (1723-35)

Condition.  Both the teabowl and saucer are in exellent, undamaged, condition.  The enamels are also in very good condition as can be appreciated from our pictures with only very minor rubbing.
