Chinese early to mid C19th silk sleeve band

A charming early- to mid-19th century Chinese silk sleeve band or cuff, embroidered in silk with birds, butterflies, orchids and other flowers in blues and creams on a cream ground. The majority of the embroidery is in knot or seed stitch with satin stitch.  

Condition:  Good. There are losses to the brown-dyed threads as is common with black or brown dyes where metal mordants were used to set the colour. Please see the photographs.
