A Chinese silk embroidered panel dating from the late Nineteenth Century, probably from a woman’s skirt, showing a dragon with the flaming pearl and Buddhist symbols. The embroidery is on a pale blue ground in creams, golds and blues in satin stitch. The dragon’s head, feet and scales and other details are in couched gold thread. The panel is mounted, glazed and framed.

Condition: there is some fading/discolouration to the blue silk ground but the embroidery itself is in excellent condition.
