An attractive pair of Chinese export armorial platters, Jiaqing

A pair of Chinese export famille rose armorial serving platters with the arms of Hay, dating from the early Nineteenth Century.  Each platter has the arms centrally, and the motto 'SPARE NOUGHT', with a gilt spearhead border arond the cavetto and an attractive decoration around the rim of multi-coloured dragons pursuing flaming pearls through clouds.  Width of each dish 28.2cm (11.1")

Date: Jiaqing c 1815

Condition: both of these serving dishes are in very good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration.  There is rubbing to the gilding arond the rim.  The other enamels are in good condition as can be appreciated form our photographs.
