An attractive and boldly-patterned mounted piece of Chinese silk brocade, dating from the early Nineteenth Century.  The brocade has a rich burnt orange silk background on which are woven paeony and other flowers and foliage in coloured and gold silk.  Size of mount 25.5 x 25.5cm (10" x 10"), size of visible textile 17.5 x 17.5 cm (6.9" x 6.9").
