A Chinese blanc de Chine figure group of weiqi players, Kangxi

A nicely-detailed Chinese blanc de Chine group from the Dehua kilns in Fujian Province, modelled as three figures playing weiqi under a rocky outcrop from which pine trees and prunus are growing. Two of the figures are seated by a low table with the weiqi board and a further figure is standing with arms crossed beside them. Height of group 9.5 cm (3.7").

Dating: Kangxi (1662 to 1722)

Condition: there are losses to some of the flowers growing from the rockwork, and the hand of one of the players is missing. No other damage and no restoration.
