A Chinese silk civilian rank badge with a silver pheasant for the 5th rank from the back of a woman’s robe. Blue silk thread and gilt couching. The pheasant is set against a background of ruyi clouds with auspicious Buddhist symbols. The sun is in red silk thread outlined in white. The badge has a border of bats and shou symbols for good fortune. Mounted on card.
