A late C19th pair of embroidered Chinese silk child’s shoes in black

A pair of finely embroidered Chinese silk child’s shoes in black, with abstracted birds and beasts embroidered in reds and pinks with cream outlining, the opening edged in pale green braid. Pale blue interior and white cotton soles. Late C19th.

Length c. 14 cm

Condition: very good. Sole discoloured, minor wear and a small gap in the back seams. Please see photographs.
