A Chinese blanc de Chine whistle modelled as a standing European man wearing a tricorn hat, standing on a lion mask, and holding a bird in his right hand dating from the Kangxi period.  Height 9.5cm. (3.7”)

A very similar figure was included as item 59 in the exhibition of blanc de Chine held at London specialists Marchant in 2014.

Date: Kangxi c1700

Condition: the end of the whistle has been restored.
